I liked this movie. A lot. First of all, it’s in French, so get ready to deal with subtitles. Zombie outbreak, the story focuses on the lives a handful of survivors in northern Quebec out in the woods. Beautifully shot, stunning forest and field landscapes, and some of the scariest fucking zombies I’ve seen in a long time - not because of the makeup, or how fast they are, or how they could be anywhere, but because they communicate with each other through yelling and laughing. Laughing. Ugh. This movie is very quiet - you might not like it if you’re into thrill-a-minute chase scenes and non-stop action. But when there is action, it’s very scary, and when there isn’t, it’s almost scarier. I went all in on this. Total recommend.
P.S. The chair tower is so fucking creepy.
