So this was like, totally fucked up. It was WAY scarier than a lot of the nonsense movies that are made nowadays, and it made as a joke on Halloween Night in 1992 for the BBC. Like, if I saw this back then, when I was age I was then, staying up with my parents, all hopped up on sugar, I would have been TERRIFIED. What about that ending?! Fee fi fo fum! Geez! I loved it. This was everything I wanted - it was the cheesiness that WNUF Halloween Special was referencing. Basic premise: The BBC does a special on a haunted house, sends in a reporter and her team, turns out the house is really haunted and they have to deal with a serious demon. Yikes! It’s the BBC at its best, doing the Orson Welles sort of thing, mixing in a little Enfield possession. Total recommend, it’s both actually a little scary, and SUPER cozy, in an early 90s kind of way.
